About Our Park

With a love for RV camping and the outdoors, I had experienced many RV parks that were nice but not always the best to use because they  were crowded, and the slips were small and not the best to navigate. I thought with my background in construction, concrete for 40 years, and being a business owner, I can do this better, and make a place that is not only nice but functional for campers to be able to get the most enjoyment out of their stay. After all, I had done a lot of RV camping myself as well as owning a resort with cabins, a marina and beach, and restaurants in the Chain Of Lakes area on the Illinois and Wisconsin border called McDermit’s Resort. I wanted to create a place with good spacious slips with some privacy for people to really be able to enjoy their RV or camping experience. After retiring, I found this beautiful property and set out to create just that place, what is now our 17.5 acre McDermit RV Park.

It is my hope that people will come here and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, with trails to walk or ride your mountain bike, and spend some time at the beautiful Dale Hollow Lake. It is a jewel in the south, and one of the cleanest lakes you will find, with 620 miles of shoreline. You can bring your boat as we are 2.5 miles from a major marina. You can scuba dive the flooded city of Willow Grove. There are also several state parks nearby that would make a great day trip, Daniel Boone National Forest, Mammoth Cave National State Park, Green River State Park, and Old Kentucky Home State Park.

 RV Camping Slips

There is a picnic table and fire ring for your use, as well as, a covered trash receptacle. There is also Wi-Fi available, bathrooms with showers, laundry facility, ice and soda machine, and small concession store on site.

Gravel slips with plenty of room to back in. Each slip with hook-ups have both 30 & 50 Amps available and sewer hook-ups.
